The group was a safe space, open, kind and no judgement with love and complete respect. It was the understanding we had together as humans who lived a shared experience and who understood each others hearts like no other.

I honestly would not be where I am today without Mardi’s diligence, persistence, knowledge and kind heart. She always believe me, never judged me, fought hard for me and never gave up. Mardi was there for me every step of the way and I never felt rushed, I always felt Mardi was listening to me and I always felt she gave 100% of herself to me every single time. I cannot thank her enough for giving this second chance at happiness and even life, if I didn’t receive the assistance I did, when I did, we may not be here today at all.

The woman’s group was kind of like open heart surgery where each woman and facilitator were repairing tiny parts of my deeply wounded heart piece by piece. The safe and loving space that the group held was very special. When you’re in a domestic violence marriage you’re rarely believed and gaslighted into submission. It is immeasurable and invaluable and truly emotionally validating to be believed. Mardi and her team are just so kind, caring and supportive and I couldn’t have shown up every week without their loving nature and caring kindness.
